We are partnering with our client to recruit a Marketing and Publications Editor to join their team on a temporary to hire basis. This role is based in San Diego, CA, and is for a non-profit organization. In this role, you will serve as the main support in publication production, including writing and editing, layouts, and quality control. This role is focused on editing copy to maintain high quality content in publications, cross-functional collaboration to create marketing content and assist in uploading publication content.
This is a full-time temp to hire role with our non-profit client located in San Diego, CA, with hourly compensation ranging from $29 to $34 depending on experience. This role is initially fully onsite with flexibility for one hybrid day upon conversion to a permanent basis.
You will:
- Oversee the production, editing, and delivery of publications like souvenir books, program books, newsletters, and more.
- Plan and maintain budgets, ensuring costs are within limits.
- Work with internal staff, writers, artists, and industry professionals to gather materials.
- Collaborate with graphic designers to optimize layouts and ensure standards.
- Develop and implement marketing strategies to promote products, services, and events.
What We're Looking For:
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Understanding of the publishing, popular arts, and/or entertainment industries.
- Degree or experience in Graphic Design, Book/Magazine/Page Layout, or related fields is preferred.
- Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite applications.
- Strong proficiency in grammar, punctuation, and style guides.
